A high tensile, 2" square, aluminum pole inserts into your soil, and a generous, 48" long ground stake provides both strength and stability. Attach the included perch, rack, and pulley to this pole for hanging the included SuperGourds easily. These eight units are all made from one-piece, molded plastic, and sport a 2" diameter opening. Raised lines on the molded rain canopy provide birds perching spots, and a screw-on cap on the side of each unit makes nest checks and maintenance simple. The 45° angle of this port offers great visibility, and the high-density, polyethylene construction of the gourds lasts for many seasons. Enlarge or drill holes at the top of the gourds to attach them to the existing hangers on the rack system at your desired orientation. The pulley system easily lowers the roosts, and nylon glides within the top hub keep the movement smooth. A winder clip secures the polyester rope after the rack has been raised, and the horizontal arms allow each gourd opening to face outward.
